Bambi Studio Dye Transfer Print Signed with Walt Disney Autograph by Disney Legend Bob Moore (Walt Disney, 1941). This is an outstanding Walt Disney studio dye transfer, high quality print of Bambi, Thumper, and Flower, as Bambi learns everyone's name. These high quality prints were given away by the studio for publicity and as gifts, as well as sold at the Art Corner store in Disneyland. This particular print was given as a gift. Presented in the original studio mat with orange script writing on ... morethe mat. The mat has been boldly "signed" by Walt Disney in the lower right corner, with the note "To Mrs. Silva, With Best Wishes - Walt Disney". This is a Walt Disney autograph by Disney Legend Bob Moore. Walt Disney did not personally sign all of his autographs. Every piece of artwork was "signed" on his behalf with a Walt Disney signature, but Walt Disney did not himself provide every signature. Bob Moore, who joined the Walt Disney Studios as an apprentice animator in 1940, provided this signature. Moore contributed to animated classics such as Dumbo, The Three Caballeros, and Make Mine Music. He was named head of the publicity and marketing department and designed Disney movie posters, Christmas cards, logos and letterheads. Most importantly, Moore was one of Disney’s official "autographers", and he signed numerous items (photographs and letters) with Walt Disney’s famous signature. He designed Sam the Eagle for the 1984 Olympic Games and murals housed in Walt Disney Elementary Schools located in Tullytown, Penn., and Anaheim, Calif. To learn more about Bob Moore and his Walt Disney autographs, please visit https://d23.com/walt-disney-legend/bob-moore/ and http://www.go-star.com/antiquing/lori-antiques1012.htm. The frame is 17.5" wide by 16.5" tall with an inner mat opening of approx. 10" wide by 8" tall. The greeting and signature measures 5" wide by 3" tall. Comes with a certificate from Walt Disney Productions describing the piece that is embedded in the back of the frame behind glass. Fine condition.

B/w, 10¼x13. Innovative animator, producer and studio executive Walt Disney (1901-1966) introduced Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, ... moreGoofy, Disneyland, family films and family television entertainment. Making his name synonymous with family fun, his dream was to entertain the whole family, not just children. Disney developed the first animated film with sound with Mickey's Steamboat Willie (1928). Mickey's success led to the creation of Donald and Goofy. By the 1940s, Disney expanded his films to feature length using color (1932), sound and several new animation innovations. Early feature-length classics from Disney Studios include Pinnochio (1940), Dumbo (1941) and Cinderella (1950). During the 1950s, live adventure films were added to the repertoire, and Disney's greatest dream, his theme park, Disneyland, opened in California in 1955. Near the end of his career, Disney produced Mary Poppins (1964), which consisted of live action and animation, a technique his studio first developed in the 1940s. Mary Poppins garnered 13 Academy Award nominations and won five Oscars. Adequate contrast. Fine condition. Framed in the Gallery of History style: 18½x29. "WALT" DISNEY - PHOTOGRAPH SIGNED 1946 - HFSID 101342 WALT DISNEY Signed 5¼x7½ photo, shown with his wife at the Atlanta premier of Song of the South, framed in the Gallery of History style to 16x26 Photograph signed: "Walt Disney". B/w, 5¼x7½. This photograph was taken in November 1946, when innovative animator, producer and studio executive Walt Disney (1901-1966) ... moreand his wife, Lillian, were in Atlanta, Georgia for the premier of the Disney film, Song of the South, which was based upon the "Uncle Remus" stories. This film was unique in that it combined live actors with cartoon figures, a difficult and expensive procedure that Disney did not use again until Mary Poppins in 1964. Both films won Academy Awards, contributing to the 29 Oscars that Disney's films earned during his lifetime. In the postwar years, Disney became despondent with filmmaking, particularly cartoons, and he turned to live-action adventures and his ultimate dream - a family theme park that opened as Disneyland in 1955. Minor surface creases (most not evident head-on). Poor contrast on Disney's last name. Priced accordingly. Framed in the Gallery of History style: 16¼x26.
